Secret Mixter 5

Isn't it great to see people come together so easily to do something like this so quickly and naturally?

DoKashiteru's remix sparked SecretMixter 5. Once the thread was put up, within the week there were 38 signed up. And thanks to fourstones' multi time-zone programming skills, assignments, emails and uploading were taken care of.

SecretMixter is something that really comes together on it's own and it sounds like I'm not the only once who gets a kick out it. If you missed it this time, we hope you can join in next time. If you're just listening, we sure appreciate that too. : )

Secret Bucky Make Sense?

We all whined about the one-stop contest but people have been very slow to remix Bucky Jonson and while our relationship with BBE is strong as ever, I've been trying to think of ways to kick up some dust around these amazing samples.

So, does it make sense to have a Secret Mixter where you have to remix your assigned person PLUS use Bucky samples?

I'm open to any other ideas that would get people mixing bucky...

Secret Mixter is Back *meow*

Secret Mixter is back. Thank you PorchCat.

SecretMixter is a remix game. The names of the participants are collected and then each person is randomly assigned another participant. Everyone then produces a remix for the artist they received in the draw. There is no grand prize or material reward. The point of the game is to have some fun, test your skills with the random draw and see how your material is put to use....

This will be the fourth Secret Mixter. Last round had 16 participants. sign-up

Secret Santa Thing

Hi all:

I don't know if everyone visits the forums all the time, so I mention this here. User Porchcat suggests a new idea I think might be fun to try.

It's a "secret Santa" remix game. Each participant gets in the "draw" the name of another mixter as to whom the participant is to create a remix.

This could be a fun way to stretch, at least for those people like me, who find it far easier to remix, say, Brilliant Orange Object's whirrs and buzzes than Ms. Vybe's powerful but slightly non-ambient raps.

I hope that others will sign up to play, as it sounds like fun. Porchcat even went so far as to set up a link with a site at which to "join" the game.

The details are over in "pluggy plugs", at:
