Self- Publicizing

Using ccMixter's new publicize feature, I updated my Blogger and MySpace pages. Now when I upload new remixes at ccMixter they will be automatically updated.

My Blogger page uses the Verbose(!) format option. I simply cut & pasted from my ccMixter page into Blogger. I added the del.icio.us playtagger, so all mp3 links appear with a play button. The Verbose option shows the track name, date and time uploaded, the song description and the CC license. Perfect for blogs.

On MySpace I chose FZ's Music Player(big) option. The script provided didn't work so I had to use the "show raw HTML" button and cut & paste the last line of code from there. Last time I checked, it seems to be working without any problems.

I love this new feature. : )

**update- I also added FZ's Music Player(small) on Blogger and also changed the limit to 100. Crazy.

I added the above to my template.

"did it show up in the publicize page ok?"

Yes. It worked for Blogger too. Just didn't come out right on MySpace. This is the text that shows up:

.. type="text/javascript" src="http://ccmixter.org/media/api/query?tags=remix&user=teru&limit=5&template=mplayerbig&chop=20&format=docwrite" >..>

I've been fiddling around with my Blogger page way too much.

If anyone would like help setting anything up on Blogger, please feel free to email me through ccM. I'm no expert but I've learned a lot through trial and error. : )
