Spotted in Covent Garden

When he isn't jet-setting around the world Colin Mutchler is currently living and working in London and took some time out from his CRAZY ass schedule to come visit with me and John Buckman today. We talked mixter, Magnatune and had quite a few laughs (at my expense of course- but I was cool with that). Colin's looking for a service that allow for an artist to create a collaborative album and automatically dispense income to all the collaborators - hey, aren't we all? John brought up a bunch of issues that us dweeby musicians don't even think about - like reporting taxes, internationally and how PayPal only knows how to disperse to one account. Still, someone's got to step up to the plate....

Thanks for the shout out Victor. It was good seeing you guys in London. Yeah John mentioned e-gold.com as one of the services that can work for the kind of micropayment schemes. It seems that the site and service are best known for enabling black market activities. So I guess step one was freeing musicians up from the rights based laywers. Maybe step two is freeing us from the currency/taxes based laywers. Cheers.
