News feeds at ccMixter

OK, so using Google feeds as an aggregator I hacked in a news feed into the ccMixter home page please let me know if you have any problems with it.

which one on the homepage?

this is the on the main page but empty:
http://ccmixter.org/media/feed/atom/audio

and this one I found on the leftbar on the mainpage:
http://ccmixter.org/media/feed/rss/audio

where's the news-feed? and what creates the news? the homepage items, forum posts or some new blog maybe?

it's the thing called "Friends of ccMixter" -- it's just an aggregation of *other* feeds (including this blog)

very cool. don't forget that stuff in the left sidebar though. it's starting to take on wallflower status... :)

I like it. Would it make sense to replace the bullet points with bold black character dates (e.g. "12/1")? Right now, the viewer doesn't know if the news items listed are from today, the past week, or the past year.

the html comes from google (seriously) I have a little control over formatting (font, size, color) even less over over layout (positioning) and none over content except the number of items.

so no, lol.

victor, i was just being snarky about how the stuff in the left column (latest remixes, latest reviews, etc.) has lost some of it's prominence and lustre (as if text links could have lustre) with the new formatting of the rest of the homepage. i just think it too could use a little love and highlighting. :)

but it's good!
