Quite a success

I really enjoyed seeing all the new mixes from folks who have not participated at ccmixter before entering on the last day of the Copyright Criminals contest. This suggests to me that whatever efforts were undertaken to "get the word out" really succeeded.

For me, contests like this are a good way to try (and the key word is "try") to stretch a bit.
It's fun, though, how the notion of a "competition" gets folks' "gotta play that" juices flowing.

I don't know how the upload counts compare with the past contests, but from this "spectator's eye" view, it looks like a great success, both in popularity and in its generation of some really fun mixes.
