We're only going to list the top 3 reasons why 2022 was a great year for ccMixter and collaborative music culture--the other 81 reasons are listenable as a curated playlist. But before you read the top 3 reasons--put on your headphones--click on this playlist link--and enjoy the music. It's ultimately the reason why I'm writing this! The music!

Number 1:  We Survived!

A number of malicious attacks on our site took place this year, but we rocked on like rebel forces in Star Wars. In fact, we often refer to the 'mixter as if it was the Millennium Falcon.

Number 2:  We Adapted!

We held six themed remix events this year--each one highlighting some aspect of world culture. We imagined peace and faced reality. We dreamt of hope and healed our nightmares. Music connects.  Music is medicine.

Number 3:  We Created!

We received over 1200 uploads this year! Despite all the "pieces of evil" that infiltrated our systems, we managed to escape the clutches of dark forces and brought the music from the outer rim to the people!  

Number 4-84:  Listen and Share!
