Why ccM works..

A really good thing happened today..a photojournalist used my piece “The Long Goodbye” in a multimedia article that ran in the International Herald Tribune, as well as the New York Times ....Migrants in Calais, France produced by Ellie Markovitch for the International Herald Tribune. Photos by Susan Meiselas/Magnum Photos and Reporting by Caroline Brothers.
I cannot say how happy I am about this happening, especially as the music was used for a just cause......
Way to go John. : )

I don' t know exactly how Ellie came across your work, but I'm really glad she did....hope you feel good about the piece we did about migrants...i thought the music worked really well....

@ Susan: Thanks. The photography in this piece is amazing; moving and poignant... so good it doesn't even need a narrative or music. A wonderful example of how real photojournalism can bring a point to "readers" in a way that print can't.
@ T: As usual ...without the power of The Mighty ccM collective, this match would not have been possible. ccM and The Commons works, plain and simple.
