ccMixter Hip Hop Compilation Volume 1

is complete fully mixed tracks and word doc liner notes can be downloaded at

http://www.4shared.com/dir/669387/ecb6982/sharing.html

The tracks had to be spliced from the full mix into single cuts because of the upload limitation on 4shared.com. They'll mix fine if you can remove silence between cuts on whatever CD burning application you have (some burning apps automatically add 2 seconds in between mixes). I'm still looking for a place to host the MP3 of the full mix CD (~47MB). If anyone knows of a place please let me know.

Thanks,

Shagrugge

perhaps bebo.com?

Maybe you could talk to the archive.org folks about setting up a Creative Commons Sub-Collection on this page: http://www.archive.org/details/audio_music

This site offers 100MB/unlimited downloads.

Thanks, Mike, I noticed that CC is widespread on archive.org - is there a particular page/area of the site that would be appropriate for a growing set of remix albums from ccMixter? Regardless of where the remix albums are put, I think it'd be cool to point the Pandora / Music Genome Project and people to them and see if they would add some CCMixter tracks to their playscope.

Not a solution to the full mix problem but...

Just as an idea for a ccMixter album. How about contacting each person on the compilation and ask them to add a special tag? Something like "Shagrugge's Mix Tape". That way you could stream it online like a Mixter Radio channel.
