BPM Tags

I added a new feature this morning: BPM tags. Now whenever someone marks an upload with a BPM, we automatically generate a system tag within a 5 bpm range of the tag. So if you enter a bpm of 92, your upload will get a tag called 'bpm_90_95'. I've update the entire database with these tags, you can see the results here.

Of course the main reason to do this was to enchance the new samples browser:

http://ccmixter.org/media/samples/browse

To limit the results to a specific range of BPMs.

Please continue to bang away and let me know what's broken.

Your first link isn't woking for me. : (

I did a search for phrase-"120". I got 70 results all between 115-120 BPM. BPM filter rocks. : )

yeah, this is a great idea victor. one of the most useful features i've found is the ability to search by bpm, and this just expands on that and makes it easier to see up front.

It should take you to the browse tags page with 'system tags' turned on... if you look in the 'b's you should see about 35 tags that start with 'bpm_' -- you're not seeing this?

Are you sure about the url?

http://cchost.org/media/tags?all=1

I get: Not Found - The requested document was not found on this server.

In fact http://cchost.org/ goes to a company in Canada. Did you move without telling me? ;)

Also: clicking on a bpm tag you get the results (litterally) 100s of times faster than using the search page's bpm field.

just so you know ;)
