A Little CC Link Love in Review

A top ten list from the first 120 days of CC:365. This is great argument fodder for those days when someone tells you that only esoteric electronica is available under the commons. Enjoy!

I think it's great that you promote music in the ways you do. It's a service, and I appreciate it as a listener.

I like that in almost every genre, I can now find CC material. I heard some Senegalese religious music lately, and I thought to myself that it is no longer a question of "if" I can find it in CC sometime soon, but only "when" and "where".

I must say, though, I really *like* the esoteric electronica released under the commmons licenses on the 'net, and so I'm glad there is a lot of that out there, too.

Teru : Thanks!

Gurdonark : don't get me wrong.. I'm a fan of lots of esoteric electronica stuff.. I'm glad it's out there, I'm glad it's getting licensed under the commons, and, well.. I'm just damn glad. Seriously though, I didn't mean that as a dig on electronica.. not in the slightest.

I don't take you as wrong at all, Grant. I'm glad you're showcasing what you showcase. The netlabels for electronic music have generated their own press and scene, and it's good that you showcase the other genres that you do showcase. I like your daily feature and your
podcasts, and I was not suggesting you change a thing.

Here I am, trying to spread a little respect for a Creative Commons practitioner, and next thing you know, it's get a room :).

But me, I'll take the teasing, and still say I think it's a great show, because CC is going to grow because of the support we all give, like on that place, what's it called, oh, yeah, ccmixter :).
